Nope, I'm not talking about Victoria Beckham (got ya!). Instead, I want to introduce you to Austin-based jewelry company Urban Posh, which seeks to make pieces that are rooted in contemporary trends and aesthetics but also surpass the here and now so as to become timeless and classic. It's a lofty goal, but designer Jeanne Kirkland pull it off nicely. Just check out these two earring sets from Urban Posh's Fall/Winter collection.

The gold vermeil Double Drop Reflection Pool Earrings are a clever cross between your standard hoop earrings and your dangle drops. And, while we've seen double drop earrings before, what makes these so unique is the distorted shape of the circles — these aren't perfect, polished spheres but rather imprecise, scribble-scrabble shapes that form a loop. The "reflection pool" reference in the name works perfectly since the design does create that kind of undulating, undefined shape that's organic, seemingly effortless, and undeniably exciting.

The second earrings pictured above are the Belly Dancer earrings (cute name, right?), which feature teardrop-shaped whisky quartz stones adorned by gold vermeil discs. Now that natural, relatively untouched stones are making their way into bold pieces of jewelry (I'm sure you've noticed all the amethyst necklaces, rose quartz earrings and turquoise bracelets populating most lines), these earrings manage to address that trend while remaining subtle enough to outlive any passing fad. And why should we expect any less? After all, Kirklan'ds grandparents were gemologists and traveled the world to find the most astoundingly beautiful stones — an instinct she has clearly nurtured throughout the years. Another great aspect of these earrings is the placement of the gold discs — it makes the quartz stones feel like they're tiny fruits sprouting out of a tuft of golden leaves.
